In order to achieve the granting of a Natural England Licence it will be necessary to have put forward compensation roosts to replace what the bats will loose due to the development.
The level of mitigation will depend on the species of bat affected, their numbers and how they are using the site. This will have been identified during the survey.
For sites with the more common species compensation roosts can be simple, such as bat boxes placed on nearby trees or buildings or incorporation in the new build.
For sites with rarer bat species and important roost sites the compensation may require a more detailed approach by providing dedicated roof spaces or specialised bat buildings.
Jones and Sons are specialists in the design and implementation of all types of compensation from the simple to complex.
